Friend Friday: Ron Slack

I love when people make beautiful things out of stuff that most see no value in. In this case, junk and discards and old trash that people just abandon in the desert. I also might be a bit biased, but I don’t think so, as Ron Slack is my dad. A super cool, uber-talented artist and musician dad.

He loves to go out into the desert and just pick up things that most people would kick away, use as target practice, or just ignore because it’s ugly and useless. But not him – he sees such cool things in an old, rusty sardine can and some wind-worn wood.
