Micah Evans

Micah Evans is a fabulous glass artist. I’m always blown away by glass art. It’s crazy to me how they can take this stuff that is kind of boring, and then manipulate it to make these beautiful colors and shapes.

I love his work. He has so much more that’s just as amazing on his website – micahevans.com.

Isaac Cordal

It’s always neat to see the unexpected when walking down the street. Isaac Cordal gives you the unexpected with his little people sculptures placed in specific spots around the pavement. His series, ‘Cement Eclipses’, show his art around the world.

Dale Chilhuly

Living (temporarily) in Vegas has some advantages. Like going to CityCenter and visiting Dale Chihuly’s gallery, or seeing the installation at the Bellagio. Most of the artists I post I only get to see on my computer screen, but it is so cool to get to see some close-up. And Chihuly’s glass work is pretty impressive close-up.

Bruno Torfs

In a little town called Marysville, about 60 miles from Melbourne, is a lovely enchanted garden. This garden was full of wonderful creatures and beautiful animals. Then one day a horrible tragedy took place, and a terrible fire wiped out the garden and all that lived in it. But, the creator of the garden loved it so much that he started over, and two years after the tragic fire, it was alive once again.

Bruno Torfs is a fantastic sculptor that watched his wonderful sculpture garden be razed by a brush fire in 2009. Since then, he has rebuilt it and once again has a wonderful garden full of wonderful things.

Hoang Tran

Hoang Tran loves to color. Well, he loves to play with crayons. But not just scribble inside some lines. Nope – he does something a bit more cool.

'T.A.R.D.I.S.'

(My daughter is a GIANT ‘Doctor Who’ fan, so she loves this!)

My artistic skills with crayons involve just the normal coloring page stuff, so this is pretty fantastic.

Brian Marshall

Have you ever wanted to own a robot? Thanks to Brian Marshall and his ‘Adopt-a-Bot’, you can!

Using found materials, Brian creates the most wonderful little robots of all shapes and sizes. Old utensils, cans, spice boxes, radio parts – anything, really – and a little robot will wheel or jump its way into the cuteness center of your heart.

These are so awesome! I love how they each have their own personality! You can see more photos on Brian’s Flickr page, or on his Adopt-a-Bot Facebook page.

Anastassia Elias

Probably one of the most annoying things are the empty toilet paper tubes, simply because no one ever actually changes the roll. But among her many art media, Anastassia Elias of France takes the humble T.P. cardboard rollers and creates awesome art in her series ‘Rouleaux’.

I never thought I would say this about toilet paper rolls, but how adorable are these? I absolutely love them and wish I had the skill to do this! Look at all of her ‘Rouleaux’ series, as well as her other beautiful art, on her website anastassia-elias.com.

Jodi Harvey-Brown

I’ve seen a few book sculptures floating around, and they are amazing. They bring the book to life in a way that you can actually see. I discovered Pennsylvanian Jodi Harvey-Brown in my search for wonderful pieces, and she does not disappoint.

"Made from a 1956 copy of 'My Five Tigers', a story about a man and his five, very different, cats..."

“‘My Five Tigers”

I don’t like cats, but this is fabulous.

"The Three Musketeers"

“The Three Musketeers”

Seriously? Look at this. I love this story, and I love this book sculpture.

“Alice in Wonderland”

The detail in this slays me. The itty-bitty tea cups, the slatted-backed chairs – the amount of intricate work is just absolutely beautiful.

“20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”

I could post about 1,000 of her works, but instead you can see more on her website – jodiharvey-brown.com – and even purchase some of it for your very own at her Etsy shop.
